He nodded. It killed to see how much he hurt her but he promised himself he was going to make it all right. “Yes, I am planning on staying this time…” he touched her face to wipe away the tears.

Betsy looked at him and closed her eyes allowing herself to lean against his hand. Feeling herself melt into his touch she shook her head and backed away from him, “Warren… I can’t…” She felt a pain in her chest as she said that. What are you doing? You were going to move on. 

His eyes widened as she moved away from him. “What do you mean you cant?” He started to feel sick to his stomach, she couldn’t mean that could she?

She watched him her heart breaking watching him and feeling his emotions looking down Betsy closed her eyes, “You have to understand… I didn’t know if I’d ever see you again. I tried to move on… I just couldn’t do it though.” She inhaled a shaky breath, “Now you’re back… and I don’t know what to do. I love you with all my heart Warren.”

He shook his head and took a step towards her, arms open wide. “I know, I messed up.” he reached for her face. “But you dont have to be confused, we love each other… thats all that matters right?”

She took a deep breath looking at him almost with a pleading look, “…Warren.” Her purple hair hung over her shoulder as she walked closer to him wrapping her arms back around him, “Thats all that matters…”

He let tears fall as he held her tight against him. “I dont ever want to lost you again Betsy… I promise I’ll make everything right if you’ll let me.” he kissed the top of her head thanking God she was in his arms once more.

She looked radiant as ever. Warren longed to grab her up into his arms and fly straight out that window behind her, but he couldn’t seem to move past where he stood! All he could manage to choke out was her name “Betsy…” he said in almost a whisper.

Without thinking she quickly wrapped her arms around his neck. It had felt like forever since she had even felt his touch. Her tears streamed down her cheeks and she felt her heart skip a beat when he said her name, “…Warren…” She managed to choke out a response not letting up on her hold.

It wasn’t until she was in his arms again and that she had uttered his name did he really realized how much he had missed her. He held her tightly and petted her hair. “I’m home” he whispered in her ear softly trying not to tear up. “did you miss me?”

She shuttered and nodded some. Opening her mouth to speak but she couldn’t find anything to say. Letting herself cry with him there. Pulling back some she let her her hands rest on his shoulders as she stared into his eyes. Swallowing hard she looked into his eyes, “…You’re back…”

Warren swooped down on the front steps of the mansion. He stared up at the building, This was the only place that had ever accepted him for what he was. It contents also held one of the only women he ever felt truly loved by as well. “Betsy…” he whispered to himself as he opened the doors.

It was night time and he could only make out the walkway and some various statues, he led himself down the hall and up the stair case. He knew where her room was, they had shared it together a many a nights. Warren knew when he found her he was going to apologize, he realized now he needed to love her because she was a lonely as he was, They needed each other… He stopped at the door, mustering up the courage to knock on the door.

Betsy had been sitting by her window watching the sky like she had done many nights before. Sighing a little she expected nothing to happen, same as ever other night. Looking back into her room she looked at her bed and walked over to it laying down hoping to get some rest. 

As she laid in her bed she stared still out the window, though not as easily as before. If it hadn’t been for the feeling of dread and her fear of sleeping she would have felt the presence enter the mansion. Though once the familiar presence was too close to be ignored Betsy got up and swung open her door looking at Warren. A mix of shock and unimaginable happiness came over her. Though she said nothing she stood there staring at him her eyes welling up with tears.
